 NOTICES

The City of Beloit Public Works Department reminds residents that trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day the week of May 27, 2012 in observance of Memorial Day holiday.  There will be no trash or recycling collection on Memorial Day, May 28, 2012.  The Recycling Drop Off Center at 2351 Springbrook Court will be closed on Saturday, May 26, 2012 and June 2, 2012 to accommodate equipment/staff needs for Saturday trash/recycling collection.  For more information, please call the City of Beloit Public Works Operations at 608-364-2929.

The City of Beloit is seeking proposals for a partner to provide casualty insurance program alternatives for the policy period beginning January 1, 2013.  RFP packets detailing this request will be made available on the City of Beloit's website [here] or by contacting Doug Henderson at The Horton Group doug.henderson@thehortongroup.com.  Proposals will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. (CST), July 2, 2012 with a final decision and contract award on, or around, August 1, 2012.

The Beloit Housing Authority, a division of Community Development Authority of the City of Beloit, Wisconsin hereby gives notice of proposed changes in the Administrative Plan used by the public housing agency for the Housing Choice Voucher Program.  Copies of the proposed Administrative Plan may be viewed at the office of the Beloit Housing Authority, 100 State Street; the Beloit Public Library, 605 Eclipse; or view here.  The public has opportunity to present written comments to the Beloit Housing Authority, 100 State Street, by no later than June 25, 2012.  Comments submitted shall be considered by the Beloit Housing Authority before formal adoption of the Administrative Plan at the June 27, 2012 Board Meeting.

This draft IGA [here] has been reviewed by staff of the City, County and HoChunk Nation and, while still a draft, represents a consensus of all three parties as to language that will be presented to their respective governing bodies.  Note that all substantive language changes from the prior January 25 public draft have been highlighted.  There are other grammatical and numbering changes of a non-substantive nature that are not highlighted.
